Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Last updated:
This policy applies to every Freepik AI image, video and editing feature, including Create Image, Generate image, Text to image, Image to video, Text to video, image generation, image-to-video, text-to-image, text-to-video and video generation. It covers uploads, prompts, reference images, generated outputs, public sharing and private tasks, and applies together with the Terms of Service.
1. Sexual content, nudity and NSFW material
Do not generate, upload, edit or distribute pornography, explicit sexual acts, promotion of sexual services, nudity intended for sexual gratification or other sexual/NSFW material. Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation and sexual violence are prohibited, including using clothing changes, undressing, face swaps or other editing to create non-consensual nude or sexual images. Do not evade these restrictions through coded language, cropping, transformations or split prompts.
2. Child safety and CSAM
Sexualization, sexual nudity, exploitation, grooming or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) involving minors or anyone appearing to be a minor is strictly prohibited, including real, synthetic, AI-generated, animated and fictional depictions. Do not attempt to generate, solicit, possess for upload or distribute such material. Report only links, task IDs and necessary context; do not download, forward or email suspected CSAM files. Suspected child sexual exploitation may result in immediate restrictions on content and accounts and reporting to the appropriate authorities as required by law.
3. Violence, gore and dangerous activity
Extreme gore, dismemberment, torture or glorification of real violence intended to shock, abuse or encourage harm is prohibited. Do not threaten others, encourage self-harm or suicide, promote terrorism, or generate material for planning or instructing violent or other dangerous unlawful acts.
4. Hate, discrimination and harassment
Do not incite hatred, discrimination or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar identity characteristics. Dehumanization, targeted abuse, bullying, threats, stalking, harassment and disclosure of another person’s private information are prohibited.
5. Deepfakes, impersonation and fraud
Do not use another person’s likeness, voice or identity without permission to create deceptive deepfakes, or fabricate their statements, actions, endorsements or identity. Non-consensual face swaps, defamation, scams, phishing, fake transaction evidence and other deceptive uses are prohibited. Permission does not authorize unlawful or harmful use, and publishing must not conceal material facts about synthesis in a way that misleads the audience.
6. Intellectual property, privacy and authorization
Inputs and outputs must not infringe copyright, trademarks, likeness rights, privacy, trade secrets or other lawful rights. Do not upload material you have no right to process, bypass watermarks or rights-protection measures, or misuse brands to mislead people. Rights complaints should identify the rights holder or authorized representative, explain the rights involved, identify specific links or task IDs and provide contact details.
7. Safety measures and evasion
Do not bypass model or platform safeguards, manipulate review, abuse accounts at scale or evade a suspension using another account. Payment, private mode or rewritten prompts do not create exceptions to prohibited content. Third-party models may impose stricter rules, which also apply when using them.
8. Enforcement and credits
Depending on severity, impact and repeat violations, the platform may warn, reject or stop tasks, remove or hide content, restrict features, freeze accounts, suspend access or permanently ban accounts. Verified credits obtained through fraud or abuse may be frozen or deducted. Legitimate purchased credits are not automatically erased merely because a report is received; remaining paid entitlements are handled under the Terms of Service and applicable law. Serious child safety, unlawful activity or urgent danger may require immediate restrictions, preservation of evidence and lawful cooperation with authorities.
9. How to report content
Users, rights holders and other affected people may report content to the support email below without signing in. Use the subject “Content report” and include the content link or task ID, violation category, description, necessary redacted evidence and a reply address. Rights complaints should also explain the rights involved. Mark child safety concerns or threats to personal safety as “Urgent”. Do not attach suspected unlawful images or videos, unrelated personal information, passwords or full payment details. If someone is in immediate danger, also contact local emergency services.
10. Content review and report handling
Support records reports and checks the identified content or task, applicable rules and available evidence, requesting further information when needed. Child safety, unlawful activity and urgent harm risks take priority and may lead to interim restrictions. Manual review may consider task records, uploads, outputs and model safety responses; we do not claim that every generation has been manually reviewed in advance. We normally reply within 3 business days and provide an outcome or progress update within 10 business days after receiving sufficient information, explaining delays in complex cases. Unless law, safety or others’ privacy limits disclosure, the reporter is informed of the outcome and affected users are told the reasons by email. Reports and evidence are handled under the Privacy Policy for necessary review, safety and compliance work.
11. Appeals and reconsideration
If you believe content or an account was restricted in error, email the same support address with the subject “Content appeal” within 30 calendar days of the notice. Include your registered email, task or notice ID, reasons and authorization or other supporting evidence. We will reconsider the basis and evidence, normally replying with an outcome or progress update within 10 business days after receiving the necessary information. If an error is confirmed, reversible restrictions will be lifted and relevant records corrected. Do not evade restrictions through other accounts while an appeal is pending. Malicious repeated reports and fabricated evidence are themselves violations.
